Growing Hope works with any individual or family who has a desire to serve children and serves the entire state.
Growing Hope licenses all homes as therapeutic, but serves/places children for families who choose to foster non-therapeutic children. If the situation arises, families may foster siblings in which one or more may be non-therapeutic and/or one or more may be therapeutic.
Families must complete 32 initial hours of training prior to becoming licensed. In addition, there are other training classes that must be completed pre-licensure above and beyond the 32 hours required for therapeutic foster home licensing. Once licensed, Growing Hope homes must complete 16 hours of training per year within the 2-year licensing period in order to maintain foster home license, at the discretion of Growing Hope.
